ESD related damage is a common source of faults during the production of electronics. The right workwear combined with other ESD certified equipment is the only way to guarantee that your products are not exposed to discharge.
Style, function and performance
STANDARD IEC 61340
IEC 61340 is the standard for use in Electrostatic Protected Area (EPA). The purpose of this standard is to provide the administrative and technical requirements for establishing, implementing and maintaining an ESD control program. IEC 61340-5-1:2016 applies to activities such as: manufacture, process, assemble, install, package, label, service, test, inspection, transport or otherwise handle of electrical or electronic parts, assemblies and equipment that withstand voltages greater than or equal to 100 V HBM, 200 V CDM and 35 V for isolated conductors.
A COLLECTION WITH FOCUS ON COMFORT
Our collection consists of coats and trousers in a light, comfortable material combined with soft tops. All garments contain conductive fibres that transports static electricity away from the body. The entire collection is approved according to the IEC 61340 standard and meets the requirements for use in protected areas – Electrostatic Protected Area (EPA).
ELECTROSTATIC PROTECTED AREAS (EPA)
The EPA areas are set up to prevent ESD damage associated with the production of sensitive electronic products. EPA areas must be free of objects that can collect charge. Usually require ESD certification on all equipment, all materials and all fittings within the EPA areas. Our products for working in EPA environments are approved by SP – the Technical Research Institute of Sweden (www.sp.se).
